2Pac – His Life and Death
2Pac was as an American rapper, social activist and an actor. He began as a roadie, and rose to fame, becoming the second highest selling rap artist, after Eminem. Through his songs, he talked about racism, life in ghettos, and conflicts among the rappers.

2Pac - the Biography of a Short Lived Rapper
was born as Lesane Parish Crooks, in Manhattan, New York on June 16, 1971. His parents, being active members of the Black Panther party, gave him a different name during his birth and his mother changed it later to Tupac Amaru Shakur, following her second marriage. His mother was in jail on bombing charges while she was pregnant with Shakur. From his childhood, he participated in plays and studied acting, poetry and ballet from the Baltimore School of Arts. 2Pac served 15 day jail term for physical assault and battery in 1994 and was convicted for sexual assault in 1995 for which he served nine months in jail. He acted in 14 movies including Nothing but Trouble and Juice.
2Pac Songs - War against Injustices
2Pac started his music career in 1991 with singing the title song for the movie, Nothing but Trouble. His debut solo album is 2Pacalypse Now. He portrayed social injustices, poverty and other brutalities on African Americans, in most of the songs on this album. Some examples are "Brenda's Got a Baby", "Trapped". His songs like “Last Wordz” and "The Streetz R Deathrow", rapped about racial injustices against the African-Americans, as in most of this other songs
. While his career grew, his songs became aggressive. One album that showed a difference is “All Eyez on Me”, which was a critical and commercial success with a collection of party songs.
Death - 2Pac’s tragic End
2Pac and Death Row’s Suge attended the boxing match between Mike Tyson - Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. Seeing Orlando Anderson of Southside Crips at the lobby, the two started assaulting Anderson, talking of a previous attack earlier that year. Following this 2pac and Suge, rode in Suge’s black BMW 750iL sedan to party at Club 662. At about 11.15pm, a white Cadillac pulled up to their side, rolled down one of the windows and the riders started firing at both. 2Pac was hit at the chest, right hand and thigh, pelvis and right lung. Despite rushing him to the University Medical Center and performing surgeries on him for the next six days, 2Pac succumbed to death on September 13, 1996, due to cardiac arrest and internal bleeding.Photo source: flickr.com/rscrobinmx99/
