Adolf Hitler was an Austrian born, notorious dictator and war criminal from Germany. He was the leader of the Nazi party and infamous for being the mastermind behind the Second World War.

Adolf Hitler Biography

Hitler served the German army during the First World War. He later came to power as a Fascist dictator and was the chancellor of Germany from 1933-1945, and Head of State from 1934-1945. Being a strong hater of Jews, Adolf Hitler was responsible for the huge genocide of Jews, known as “The Holocaust” that symbolised him as the one who brutally stands against world peace and unity. He promoted nationalism, anti-semitism, and anti-communism.Before the outbreak of the First World War, Hitler joined the 16th Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment to serve the Germans. Fighting bravely for the Germans, Hitler got promoted as a corporal and was awarded the Iron Cross, First Class in 1918. He was temporarily blinded by a gas attack by the British in 1918.

Mein Kampf - the Autobiography

After the First World War, while trying to defeat Bavarians and free Germany from their dominance, Hitler was captured and had to serve nine months in prison. During this period, he wrote his autobiography, Mein Kampf (="My Struggle"), which portrays his ideologies, philosophies, and political views. The book has two volumes. He dictated the first volume of the book to his deputy, Rudolf Hess, and the book was dedicated to Thule Society Member Dietrich Eckart. Hitler considered “The Passing of the Great Race” by Madison Grant his bible and this book influenced him in writing Mein Kampf.

Youth Hitler

Born on April 20, 1889 to an Austrian customs officer Alois Hitler and Klara Hitler, Hitler grew up in a small town in Austria and was poor at studies and his authoritarian father always beat him up. After getting dropped out of high school at the age of 16, Hitler went to Vienna to become an artist. However, the Vienna Art Academy rejected his application twice. This enraged young Hitler, forcing him to live with the little family inheritance and selling his art, living in homeless shelters. Historians believe that he developed his hatred towards Jews and Marxists during this period.Adolf Hitler was defeated when the Russian troops took over Germany during the Second World War.
