Andy Warhol, often called the Price of pop art was grown up in Pennsylvania’s Pittsburgh and his parents were immigrants from Czechoslovakia. Right from his childhood, Warhol showed his inclination towards the artistic things and gave evidences of his creative bent of mind. He was encouraged by his mother to draw in his young years. Owing to a nervous system ailment the early school days were miserable for him. In high school, he was not among the popular students owing to his introvert nature. He graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1949. Andy Warhol biography cannot be complete without the mention of his blotted-line painting technique. He incented this in his college days. He used this technique with success in a number of commercial advertisements in the 1950s, which brought him fame. He did albums and book covers, apart from drawing for ads. He joined the pop artists in the 1960s. In 1962 he discovered silk screen printing technique and did a number of celebrity paintings. He also made some artistic films in the 1960s.
