Bruce Springsteen Biography - the Life of a Legend

Bruce Springsteen biography is one which cannot be penned down so easily. He was born on September 23, 1949 in Long Branch, New Jersey. He has Dutch, Irish and Italian ancestry and was raised in the Roman Catholic faith. Very early in his life, he picked up his guitar and was often remembered as the ‘loner who liked to strum his guitar’. He got his first guitar at the age of 13 and since then he has been playing fervently. At the age of 23, he signed his first record deal with Columbia Records. His rock and roll music soon became a hit and it was in 1983 that he got his first breakthrough. By 1984, he had become a musical phenomenon, according to Bruce Springsteen biography.

Talking of Bruce Springsteen albums, there were 18 albums in total which he released. His first album, Greetings from Asbury Park, was released in 1973. It ranked number 60 in the charts. His next album, The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle, came soon after. In 1975, he created the album Born to Run. The albums Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River, Nebraska and Born in the U.S.A. were released in 1978, 1980, 1982 and 1984 respectively. After a brief hiatus, he released Tunnel of Love in 1987 and followed it with Human Touch 5 years later. In the same year, he also released Lucky Town. The Ghost of Tom Joad came in 1995 and Tracks in 1998. In 2002, he released another album titled ‘The Rising’ and followed it up with Devils and Dust, We Shall Overcome - The Seeger Sessions, Magic, Working on a Dream and The Promise in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010 respectively.
