JK Rowling Biography - Life and Career

Joanne Kathleen Rowling was born in Gloucestershire, England on July 31, 1965. She started writing at an early age and her first story was called Rabbit, written when she was six years old, filled with interesting characters.During her childhood, Rowling had friends whose last name was Potter. She had great liking towards the children and their names. Once in 1990, during a train journey from Manchester to London, Rowling fell asleep and dreamt of a boy called “Harry Potter”. Inspired by this, Rowling thus started writing the first book on Harry Potter, which took her six years to write.In the meantime, she got married to a Portugese guy and had a daughter, which stopped her from completing the book. After the divorce with her husband, her indigence instigated her to finish the book, which altogether took six years to complete.Many publishers and agents rejected the manuscript of Harry Potter. Christopher Little Literary Agents liked the manuscript and signed her as their client. The manuscript of "Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone" was published in 1996 by Bloomsbury Publishing House of London.JK Rowling is the first writer to become a billionaire by writing books. She is also the wealthiest woman in the United Kingdom.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - End of a Saga

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final of the Harry Potter series. The book was released on July 21, 2007 and the film is being released as two parts; first part releasing on November 19, 2010 and part 2 on July 15, 2011. The part 1 will be released in 2D and IMAx formats, wherein the part 2 will be released in 2D, 3D and IMAX formats.
