Products that are made to lighten the skin tone uses substance that prevents melanin production. There are several substances that can actually block or limit the production of melanin. The ingredients that are normally used in many whitening products are Kojic acid, Azelaic acid, Arbutin, Tretinoin and Hydroquinone.
